Our Story

Bill and I just celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary this year.  We have two daughters who are forging their way in the world... Taylor is at a PR firm in Philadelphia (she's in charge of our online presence!) and Genna is a product designer for Spencer Gifts/Spirit Halloween (she's in charge of our logo and all graphics).  Both Bill and I both still work full time, but our inn provides a happy place and and end game for retirement.

Our path to becoming the proud owners of The Lizard Creek Inn is one built on a vision...a vision that was created after spending a wonderful weekend at a Jim Thorpe bed and breakfast in August, 2020.  I'll never forget, walking down Broadway when I stopped dead in my tracks... looked at Bill and said "you're going to think this is crazy, and you're not going to realize how serious I am but... We could do this!  I want to run a bed and breakfast!". 

After considering many different properties around Pennsylvania, the Alexander Benjamin House in Andreas, PA caught our eye.  We toured the property with our game-face on, but the moment we got back to our car, with tears in my eyes, I said "this is the one". How perfect is it that the realization of our vision became a reality within 12 miles of where the idea was born?!  It wan't long before the Alexander Benjamin House officially became the Lizard Creek Inn!

We now spend our days looking forward to sharing our lovely home with you... Our guests.  We have perfected our Saturday/Sunday breakfasts, the rooms are warm and inviting and we look forward to seeing you soon!
